All CDM-SOLIDS materials have been carefully selected to suit the applications for noise and vibration isolation. These materials are all characterized by means of a code consisting of 2 symbols XX where X ranges from 0 to 9. The first symbol usually refers to a typical material family. There are in total 6 families of CDM materials, to know: the natural rubbers, the polyurethane foams, the corkelastomers, the resin-bonded rubbers, the resin-bonded corkrubbers, and the EPDM closed cell foams. The second symbol refers to the density / stiffness: the higher this number, the higher also the density / stiffness (altough there are exceptions to this general rule). The 2-symbol code can possibly be followed by 3 other symbols, also ranging from 0 to 9, and indicating the thickness of the material in mm.
